Bernard Wamarema

Bernard Wamarema, the Founder and Executive Director of Higher Grounds Ministries Int’l (GHMI), is married to a lovely woman of God, Susan (Co-Founder), and have both been blessed with four children; Joy, Peace, Faith, and John-mark.

He is currently working on a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) at Covenant Theological Seminary in St Louis Missouri.

He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UMSL and an Associate Degree in Business Administration.

Ben has an insatiable passion for helping less privileged children particularly orphans.

He has previously worked with Missouri State DSS to help stabilize dysfunctional families, and also create a safe and secure environment for destitute children both in such families and in foster-care. Currently, he serves as a board member and Treasurer of PIPES International and is a passionate leader with an extensive leadership background.

He is an ordained Church Elder of the Presbyterian Church of East Africa, where he served as a Local Church Registrar, and a Youth organizer, leading over 6,000 young people.

He is also a devoted minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and has been to evangelism missions in Asia; Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and also in Kenya, Africa.
